Garden Scoot
2019-03-28
I purchased the Garden Scoot device a couple of years ago. I put it together myself (the seat is still insecure) and I am sure that most can do that. What was really awful about the device is the wheels. The wheels are composed of a material that gives off an odar or gas that makes it impossible to bring the device into any closed space. I am not sure if after 3 years that smell has gone away but it didn't smell of rubber or any substance that should have passed U.S. Customs. The device is made in China where standards of 'green living' are, as I understand it from sources, lax. I have asthma so the device could never be friendly to my health. I also have a physical disability. Gardening should be healthful!

It Rusts!
2018-05-26
Great scooter function for larger flat areas, except it rusts heavily. Expected better quality from A.M. Leonard/Gardener's Edge. Not an outdoor tool exposed to sun, rain, or winter. Keep indoors to prevent non-stainless screws and bolts from rusting, as well as center screw rod for seat. I have had to replace all lug nuts, seat bolts, and drive pivot bolts (with stainless) because it rusted tight so front wheels would not turn. Needs to have stainless bolts installed during manufacturing!! Please upgrade this! Purchased in 2014. Where as my two plastic scooters have lasted 24 years. Paint fades quickly (two months), so again, keep sheltered. Need to repaint seat to prevent rusting further. Keep moving parts well greased to keep moving. Wish it came in green instead of orange paint, and wish wire cage in back would support weight of a 1-2 gallon sprayer.

I love the Scoot. The colour is terrific, I will be the envy of the neighborhood! It rolls well, and is perfect for weeding chores.

Great idea!

Very well made and works like it should. Big wheels keep you from getting bogged down and scoots around easily. My neighbor liked it so much he is ordering one! Nothing sells like word-of-mouth. Love the little blue Trug... my wife has taken this over!
