How long should I run my soaker hose?

Like people, all gardens are different. Differences in soil, climate, and what you are growing can all have an impact on how long to run your soaker hose. We recommend starting out by running your soaker hose for 30 minutes twice a week. Afterward, check and see how far the moisture has penetrated, and adjust accordingly. To make it easier, you can bury a wooden dowel near a root and check for moisture that way.

Can I bury my soaker hose?

Yes! In fact, we recommend that you do. 2-3 inches of mulch (not soil) will help retain moisture and limit sun damage. Just be sure to locate and move your soaker hose before digging in your garden.
