seymour sawtooth saw
as advertised...extremely tough gets job done quickly, only minor complaint is its weight...becomes a little tiresome/uncomfortable after continuous use.
We use it to sever tap root of large herbaceous invasive plants (burdock). Works well as teeth hold to root, allowing shovel to cut root. Other shovels slip to the sides of the root without severing. Could be sharper though. Angle and spacing of teeth makes this tool difficult to manually sharpen. Still, I bought three more for my crew.

Works like a charm
Repairs around root bound sprinkler heads and irrigation valves much easier now with this shovel. Our crew loves this shovel.
Shovel that will definately serve the purpose of cutting through roots.
It is a very sturdy shovel with an edge to break through hard soil. The edge is very sharp and will take on old roots left by trees that have been removed.
