Snow yes ... Ice no
2012-01-17
I love them for walking in snow especially when I go out at 5-6 AM to get paper. Our family has been using them for years. On ice they help but are still slipper. Take off if you have to walk on bare cement after coming in (as a basment floor or steps) very slippery. I always have spare sets in two different sizes on the shelf. The springs do break and tear your carpet if you have to wear after coming in so check them ever so often.

Great Product!

I relish great product design, and this one is easy to use and effective. It pulls over shoes easily, after one or two uses to stretch a bit. I leave it with winter essentials by my front door, and I love that I get more exercise in winter ice and snow. I recommend this to all my friends.

These are really excellent traction in the snow. We put our snow removal crews in these to eliminate injuries and speed the work.
