Versatile garden support

I have used about a dozen of these for at least six years (sometimes leave them outside during our Pacific NW winter) and they’re still as good as new. They can be placed on every other plant, running stakes or bamboo between them to support double the plants. The wide openings make it easy to reach in to pick or to prune plants for air circulation or to allow in light. This year I’m growing fewer tomato plants, so folded about six cages half way (vertically) and lined them up to support peas. I’ve added tall bamboo stakes to the ends and run string between them to make the support taller for tall vines. My cages fold flat the width of one side for storage and open into a square with no need to attach anything. Well worth the investment.

Sturdy & Long-lasting

I bought 2 for my daughter's garden 2 years ago & they worked so well that she wants more. They are very sturdy and a larger size. She likes that they fold up for storage. The first setup may be a bit tricky, but this was not a problem for her.

Excellent product

Thick wire will support all weight tomatoes and open square form does not damage tomatoes when installed later than normal. Storage is so much easier than the old round cages.

not the easiest to set up

Bought it because of strong support. Legs that go into ground were all at sharp angles when delivered, not straight. Impossible to push into ground. Straightened them out but still took some time to get the cages installed so that connecting hooks would stay hooked.

Should work

It's sturdy. It may be a little overpriced but it should last a while.

Sturdy & versatile tomato cage

Setting up the cage was quite unwieldy at first. I found that it was easier to place the cage upside down on a flat surface and use several mini zip-ties to close the cage and then secure at least one vertical rail to a horizontal at each corner. This tightens up the cage so it is much easier to put in place. It is made of very sturdy metal and is easy to sink into the ground without bending the legs. I bought 3 of the 72" cages specifically for my largest tomato plants. However, I plan to use them next year as a trellis for peas as the peas will be done by the time I need them for the tomatoes. These are the tallest and widest tomato cages I have found and I am very pleased with the construction.

The Best Tomato Cage Ever!

I bought a few of these tomato cages last summer to see if they could support the giant plants that I seem to be able to grow in my raised bed garden. I have tried everything in the past (bamboo poles, lightweight cages, tomato spirals, homemade chicken wire cages) and nothing ever worked. By late August, the plants were always flopping outside their beds with the heavy fruit bending them to the ground. These cages, however, are really different. They are the best ones I have ever encountered. They will support 8' high plants easily and even better, they fold up completely flat for storage in the off season. I am so happy with them that I plan on buying another 6 to use this summer. Even though they cost a lot more than other tomato cages, they are worth every penny since you will never have to buy replacements. An excellent product from a very good company!

Excellent size

Bought as a sample and find it to be of excellent size and strength. Very pricey, but for a young gardener it will last a long time and make it worth it.
