Just dip the cuttings into the powder, tap off the excess and plant. It's that simple.

Three formulas are available: (1) HOR1, 1 lb. tin. Hormodin #1 contains 0.1 active ingredient for roses, home garden and greenhouse plants (good for 35,000 cuttings); (2) HOR2, 1 lb. tin. Hormodin 3

Hormodin 3 is an excellent all-around rooting hormone for broadleaf evergreens, which I propagate from semi-hardwood or hardwood cuttings. As another reviewer has commented, keep the powder in the stock container clean and dry, and take out only a little at a time. Discard whatever you don't use to avoid contaminating the rest.

Hormodin 1, 2 & 3

I have been using Hormodin for more than 30 years to increase speed of rooting on cuttings. Although many plants can root without it, I find that it increases the speed of rooting by a quarter of the time. I primarily use Hormodin 1 for most herbaceous & softwood cuttings. Hormodin 2 on semi-hardwood. And I reserve Hormodin 3 for really hard-to-root plants & natives. I have burned more sensitive cuttings with it, so I have learned to use the stronger #3 only for those difficult, non-sensitive plants. It's important not to get the powder in the main canister wet. I carefully remove a teaspoon at a time, with a clean, dry spoon, and seal up the plastic container. Then I use the powder I have taken out for up to three days. I have done rooting trials and can attest to how much more successful I have been with using a rooting hormone such as Hormondin during propagation. I'm a loyal customer and glad to have this available to me.

Hormodin 1, 2 & 3

Have used all three products since 1980..for the consistency and easy treatment, you can not beat this product. If you have tried all the other products and cannot get the results you're looking for, give hormodin a try. You will not be dissapointed. I have rooted over 1000 species from geraniums (HOR1) to dogwood (HOR3).
