QUESTION: The black threaded nut or "collar" that tightens the poles in the locked position is broken. Is it replaceable?
ANSWER: Unfortunately, Corona does not sell that as a replacement part. The entire pole will have to be replaced, A.M. Leonard's item number for it is 1418C.

just wish it telescoped DOWN a little more

This is a great pole pruner, but I'm a city gardener, & need to transport my tools in vehicles smaller than a giant truck, & in & out of apartment elevators (with low ceilings) to prune roof trees...I was under the impression that this telescoped DOWN to a smaller size, but unfortunately it's REALLY tall, even when all the way down. Barely fits in our van, is hard to store, & tricky to get in & out of people's homes...I wish they made a pole pruner where you could twist the base pole apart for transport/storage!
