Who We Are

Gardener's Edge is a family-owned company serving homeowners and avid gardeners since 2005. Founded by our parent company, A.M. Leonard, Inc., we have been serving the professional horticultural tool and supply industry since 1885. At Gardener's Edge we have the knowledge, resources and products to assist home gardeners in the quest for the backyard oasis of their dreams, the yard that is the envy of the neighborhood, and the ability to achieve a successful, abundant harvest from the garden.

We are located in the city of Piqua, Ohio, just a thirty minute drive north of Dayton. Office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm EST Monday through Friday, with our shipping facility ensuring orders received by 4:00pm EST ship the same day.

In 1885, Ashbel Merrel Leonard started a nursery as a hobby in his backyard in Piqua, Ohio. By 1912 he and his sons Parker and Stanley established A.M. Leonard & Sons as a nursery/landscaping service. The business was further developed in 1928 when A. M. and his youngest son John started a wholesale horticultural tool and supply company serving nursery and landscape customers. Continue reading company history...
