Why should I invest in garden fencing and barriers?

Garden fencing and barriers are the only sure-fire way to guarantee wild and domestic animals won't tamper with your garden. Deer, rabbits, woodchucks, and raccoons are all common garden pests that can be deterred with a fence.

What height should my garden fence be?

The height of your fence or barrier depends mostly on what animals you're trying to keep out. Deer, for example, can jump over or wriggle underneath small barriers. Our selection of deer fencing ranges in height to up to 8 feet tall, so you will not have to worry about that, just so long as you make sure it is snug to the ground. For cats, dogs, and rabbits, 2-3 feet of wire mesh with sturdy posts should suffice. And of course, be sure to check local ordinances on fence building in your area — large fences may obstruct views and violate codes.

Whether you're trying to keep wild animals out or domestic animals in, Gardener's Edge has the tools to keep your garden secure. For more in garden security products, check out our animal traps and repellents, garden netting and tunnels, and the rest of our garden pest control products.
