they come up high enough and I have long forearms
Sizing suggestion was perfect. Flexible enough to work with and they offer great protection from thorns and stiff branches.
I have numerous knock out rose bushes. If you are reading this, you probably know that part of that plant's growth pattern requires removing dead sections, and some sculpting. I tried long handled pruners. They work fine, really. But I was still getting snagged on thorns with some frequency. Then I thought what the heck, and spent on these gloves. They are AWESOME. You can really get in there, down and dirty. And no thorn issues. My forearms stay smooth as a baby's butt! They fit just a bit snug, but I would order true to size as the tight-ish fit seems to better enable more accurate grasping as you delve into the roses. You need to get these! You will not regret it. I promise!
The gloves are comfortable and allow me to prune anywhere on the rose bush without getting 'stuck.' I can recommend them highly.
From the moment that I slid these gloves on, I no longer dreaded pruning. They completely protected my hands and arms. Every Rose grower needs these!
These are the best. Now I don't have to worry about getting scratched anymore.
no more bleeding arms for me! The fit & coverage on these couldn't be better.
I am a breast cancer survivor. When lymph nodes are removed, the patient is warned to be very careful not to get cuts, scratches and splinters on the hand or arm due to possible infection. These gloves allow me to enjoy working in my rose garden by providing the best arm and hand protection.
Bought these because I recently got into old roses and ordinary garden gloves weren't doing the trick. These fit a little more snugly than other gloves I have in the same size, but I find that useful because I maintain more dexterity and sensitivity with them on (I'm not really a big glove person--I need to feel what I'm doing). Haven't hurt myself since I got them.
Gloves are good for cutting roses to take inside. Also for picking raspberries. I use only the left glove. They are totally useless for pruning in the spring. Thorns go right through and hurt. I have to use the old canvass gloves for pruning.
Like them very much. Good fit, on wild rose bushes the thorns get through however not bad.
Trimming my large rose tree used to be a painful chore but not anymore! Thanks to your tough and long rose gloves no more scratches or bleeding and rose trimming is fun! Thanks gardners edge...
I have lots of roses in my flower gardens. Finially found some gloves that adequately protect my hands and arms.
These gloves are great. I have a large climbing rose which is full of killer thorns. These gloves protected my fingers completely; they are close fitting and comfortable so make garden work easier for doing close pruning of roses and clipping any shrubs where your hands and arms need protection. They are as good as they're advertised to be!
long sleeves, good fit, thorn proof
