I had great success with the topsy tree, grew great tomatoes and I also grew flowers out of the top(left off plastic cover). It produced food and looked beautiful. The bag does fall apart after one year but you can get a new bag from topsy and reuse the tree stand. You do have to plant the tomatoes carefully, it would be easy with two people but can be done by one.

None of the tomatoe plants produced any fruits nor did they grow more than 5 inches. The water ran straight through it and never kept the soil moist. The unit was so heavy I could not move it and the bag decomposes after one season.

1 Star Bag deteriorates

Whatever the fabric is made of, weakens after one use. There are straps and wire inside of the bag, to help hold the weight. But the fabric simply fells apart. Leaving the stand useless. Also when you water--- it washes out the sides holes along with the soil.
