The Gary Cooper of Dibbles
This is a heavy-duty, no-nonsense tool that will work hard for several lifetimes. The only improvement I would suggest is to drill a hole in the handle so the dibble can be displayed in a place of honor when not in use.
Works great--I planted over 650 bulbs, mostly grape hyacinth, without damaging roots of close-by perennials. Penetrated soil quite easily and I could hold it aside while I dropped in bulbs and compost to fill the holes. Works well for smaller bulbs--does not make a hole big enough or deep enough for large tulips. But worked perfectly for my job.
A great planting tool
Wanted this one for a couple years.. not cheap but worth it! Well made, heavy enough to do the work for you, easily penetrates soil. The curved wood handle is comfortable and allows you to put an extra push in when you need it in clay. I bought it to plant 300 Crocus bulbs in my lawn and beds and it was quick and easy to use. Can't wait to use it for my veggie garden this Spring!
