purchased this to replace a 'floating' solar fountain that finally wore out....this design is such that it is difficult to anchor within the pool of water.....the 'strength' of fountain water was minimal at best, in full sunlight.....very disappointed in this product...
Gardeners Edge responds: We'll further investigate but perhaps the Alaska climate is too cold for the solar operation of this device.
I bought it because it looked good in the catalog but pictures don't always tell the truth. I suppose for a birth bath it might work, but we put it in a small pond and it doesn't do much. The water reaches a grand height of 1" most of the time. Occasionally it pulsates and squirts a little higher. I thought the solar panel would store a little energy but as soon as a cloud passes over it quits. I would have to say it is rather cheesy.
Grossly underpowered! Maximum stream < 3" with solar panel facing south into very strong sun. Also unable to create sprinkler effect. Way over-priced.
