The edger works very well. As others have noted, the blade comes off very easily. I fixed that by simply taping it on with the blue painters tape. The battery life is very good. If they would just fix the connection problem it would be an absolutely great product.

Sounded like a good "green" alternative to the ubiquitous weed whacker. However, it was way slower and not up to the task. Not recommended for other than very light hand trimming.

We needed something to trim grass along a raised bed, where a mower couldn't go. Instead of throwing the grass clippings all over the place, like a string trimmer, this tool makes a nice and neat clipped edge. It's lightweight, yet seems quite sturdy. The adjustable handle is great, because we are tall. We can use it without bending over or kneeling. The cordless feature makes it very convenient for many small jobs around the yard.

This item worked fantastic...once. During the second time I trimmed our lawn's edging, the blade fell apart, exposing the gluey underside beneath the panel cover. After 45 minutes of struggling I was able to reassemble the product; then after only a few more minutes it came apart again. This items is poorly manufactured.
