I bought this so I wouldn't have to keep going to the water line for the many flower beds I have around the exterior of my house. It works great. It is indeed basically a retractable hose inside the "watering can" but I've not had any trouble with retraction or the hose staying put as I stand to water. This has been a BIG time saver!
Everything the ad says is true. The unit works as promised and has been a time saver for watering my container plants I highly recommend it.
I bought this item to help my wife out in watering her 20 or so flower pot she has. Had problems with it leaking around the spout took it apart & reattached it several time had to end up getting some more rubber O-ring seal & puting them on the spout to get it to stop leaking. It is pretty easy to use & does save time with warering.
The tool works well, I have been using it to water scattered flower beds. I plan to use it this winter in the green house, this is primarily why I bought it.
This is only a "cute" retractable hose. It is cumbersome to use as you need two hands to extract the hose and keep it extracted while you use it.
