I have used this shovel to transplant perennials, spade a flower bed around my bird feeder, and in my small raised garden. It is ideal for tight spots and when you don't want to dig large shovelfuls of dirt that will disturb surrounding areas or plants. It is an ideal size and the quality is excellent.

We do a lot of gardening and landscaping and around the house this is the shovel we always grab. It's versatile, not too big and not too small. It does work that a trowel can only dream of and fits in places a typical shovel can't go.

I have severe arthritis, love to garden, and can't use a heavy shovel any more. In addition, this divides plants well, and gets into tight places without damaging other plants.
